Health transformation report 2024 .. qualitative achievements embody the targets of Vision 2030

The health sector transformation program launched its annual report for transformation achievements at the health sector level for the year 2024 AD, which documents the most prominent national achievements in the health sector, highlighting the impact of these achievements in preserving human health in the Kingdom and strengthening them. The report highlights an accelerated transformation in the health sector through efforts in which the various concerned authorities, and represented in qualitative initiatives and services that contributed to achieving the target of the Kingdom’s vision 2030 Facilitating access to health services, raising the efficiency and quality of health services, enhancing prevention from various health risks, and promoting traffic safety.

The report included indicators that made remarkable progress since the start of Vision 2030, including the high percentage of health coverage of residential areas in the Kingdom – including peripheral areas – to 97.4% after it did not exceed 84.13% in 2019, in addition to reducing a group of infectious diseases to targeted levels of 87.5% compared to 55% in 2019.

The report revealed a number of achievements concerned with enhancing a healthy digital transformation and harnessing technology in the service of human health, including the arrival of the number of users of the “Sahti” application to more than 31 million, in addition to issuing more than 142 million electronic recipes during the year through the “and description” service.

The year 2024 witnessed the completion of the first phase of institutional transformation in the Ministry of Health system with the transfer of three healthy gatherings, which are the Eastern Assembly, the second gathering of Riyadh and the Qassim Gathering from the umbrella of the Ministry of Health to the Holding Company, as part of efforts to enhance the efficiency of the health sector by organizing its roles so that the Ministry of Health takes the role of organizing and supervising the sector, while the Holding Company represented by twenty health gathering around the Kingdom specializes in the role of providing service.

In terms of prevention, the report affirmed the continuation of expanded fortifications and the activation of public health programs, including the expansion of early detection tests for chronic tumors and diseases, as the number of subjects for early detection of breast cancer reached more than 223 thousand beneficiaries, while the number of those under early examination of diabetes has exceeded a million beneficiaries.

The report pointed to the efforts seeking to enhance irrigated safety in the Kingdom, which contributed to achieving a noticeable decrease in the rates of deaths resulting from traffic accidents by 57% since the start of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in 2016 until the end of 2024, and the low rates of serious injuries by more than 7% in the same period.

The report concluded by referring to a group of international events, duties, local and global prizes that confirm that the achievements of the achievements are only part of a major national transformation journey led by an ambitious vision, which places man at the top of its priorities, and is concerned with building a vital society that blesses a healthy and overwhelming life.
