The Makkah Al -Mukarramah Health Gathering ended the suffering of a patient in the fourth decade, who was suffering from a chronic leather disease that lasted for more than five years, through an accurate medical intervention and a comprehensive treatment plan that enabled her, thanks to God, to recover and restore her normal life, in cooperation between Hira General Hospital and King Abdulaziz Hospital. This caused her with severe pain and chronic itching that negatively affected her daily life, and in some periods it reached the inability to eat or talk.

He pointed out that the patient reviewed the dermatology clinic at Hira General Hospital because of her lack of response to previous treatments, and underwent a series of delicate clinical and laboratory examinations, in addition to taking a leather biopsy, she revealed that she had a “leather peasant” disease, which is a chronic skin disease that may affect the skin, mucous membranes, nails and scalp.

He indicated that an integrated treatment plan was developed that included topical and oral medicines, in addition to coordination with King Abdulaziz Hospital in Makkah to provide intense photocopy sessions, within a therapeutic protocol aimed at controlling the disease and relieving the accompanying symptoms, and the patient began to improve it gradually within less than four months until she reached a semi -recovery stage, enabled her to return to her daily life.
