The Arab Parliament rejects and condemns the Iranian attacks and affirms its comprehensive support for the UAE’s measures to protect its sovereignty
Abu Dhabi, March 10 / WAM / His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, received a message from His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, in which he affirmed the Arab Parliament’s full support for the United Arab Emirates, and its full solidarity with it in the face of the Iranian attacks it is being exposed to.
In his message, Al Yamahi condemned in the strongest terms these attacks targeting the UAE, stressing the Arab Parliament’s rejection of these practices, which represent a grave violation of its national sovereignty and a direct threat to its security, stability and the safety of its citizens.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament indicated that these attacks reflect an unacceptable approach of escalation and hostile practices aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region, indicating that they contradict the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness. He explained that they represent a flagrant violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law that affirm respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs, and undermine the foundations of security and stability in the region.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi stressed the Arab Parliament’s full support for all measures taken by the United Arab Emirates to protect its national security and the capabilities of its people and to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity, considering this a legitimate right guaranteed by international laws and conventions. He also expressed the Arab Parliament’s praise of the determination of the UAE Armed Forces to confront these attacks with all determination and ability.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament stressed that the continuation of Iranian violations and provocations represents a threat to Arab national security and undermines the chances of regional stability, which calls for a firm Arab and international position that puts an end to these practices, and obligates respect for the rules of international law and the principles of international relations based on equal sovereignty between countries and not compromising the unity and integrity of their territories.
He concluded his message by expressing his wishes for the United Arab Emirates for continued security, stability and progress under its wise leadership.
