Bahrain condemns the terrorist attack on the UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan

The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the treacherous terrorist attack carried out by a drone, which targeted the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, especially the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, stressing the need to protect diplomatic headquarters and missions and their workers in accordance with international laws and norms, and to take all necessary measures to ensure that those responsible are held accountable, and to stop the sinful terrorist and hostile operations that aim to destabilize security and stability, and threaten regional and international peace and security.
