Partnership between "International miniature ball" and"Arab Federation" To enhance the spread of the game

Baku, May 26 / WAM / The International Football Association announced yesterday, the signing of a strategic partnership with the new Arab Federation, which is based in the UAE, in a move aimed at supporting the spread of the game and enhancing its development programs at the Arab level.

Ashraf bin Salha, Vice President of the International Football Association, President of the African Confederation, confirmed in a statement on the sidelines of the founding meeting of the Arab Federation, which was held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, that the International Federation will provide all forms of support to the Arab Union, in a way that enhances its regional presence and keeps pace with the accelerating growth of the game.

He pointed out that Said Al -Aji’s choice as president of the Arab Federation reflects the great confidence in his leadership capabilities, stressing that the next stage will witness a qualitative start in the efforts to spread and develop the game, especially with the UAE hosting the first Arab mini football championship next year.

He pointed out that the game is witnessing a growing presence in many Arab, Gulf and African countries, through existing national federations and committees, expressing his hope that more countries will join the system during the coming period, indicating that mini -football is currently practicing in 144 countries, while between 70 to 75 % of the countries of the world has recognized national federations.

He explained that the current version of the World Championships in Azerbaijan witnessed wide media attention, which was represented in more than 20 satellite channels around the world, achieving broadcasting rights, achieving a million viewership rates, in addition to increasing attention from sponsoring companies, which reflects the growing marketing capabilities of this sport.

Ibn Salha revealed that the International Federation is working to support the infrastructure of national federations, as part of a comprehensive strategic plan, including programs to discover talent, develop cadres, and expand the base of practitioners, with a focus on supporting the Sunni under 23 years of age, and the category of women, stressing that mini -football is internationally recognized, and has complete independence from any other sports entities.

He pointed out that many countries, including Bahrain, Brazil, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, have submitted requests to host the next version of the FIFA World Cup, while the rest of the candidacy files are expected until the deadline set on June 30, 2025, in preparation for choosing the host country.
