"Media Award for Youth – Creative Category " Student creations are honored at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai

Dubai, May 26 / WAM / The activities of the first day of the Arab Media Summit that were held at the Dubai World Trade Center honored a group of young media talents in the “Media for Arab Youth – Creative Category” award that aims to shed light on Arab youth energies in various modern media specialties and give them space to display their innovative works that serve society and reflect contemporary issues.
The award included distinguished posts by a number of Arab universities, where student teams were crowned that presented qualitative media content in photography categories, press reports and podquas.
The winners expressed their pride in this estimate, which is an incentive to continue excellence and emphasizes the importance of supporting educational and community institutions for youth as a major focus in building a promising media future.
“This victory is an appreciation for the role of the press image in transferring humanitarian and societal messages deeply and professionally … stressing that the competition constituted a strong incentive for young photographers, as the media environment in the UAE provides an integrated support for talents in various visual disciplines, which enhances their presence and continuity in the square Media.
Badwan pointed out that social media has opened new horizons for photographers to present their work and communicate with a local and international audience … considering that this type of award plays a pivotal role in empowering young people and enhancing their confidence in themselves, which represents an additional motivation to continue creativity and provide visual content that reflects reality and holds a targeted message.

For his part, Awni Ayasrah of the Jordanian Yarmouk University team, who won the award for the category of press reports, stated that the report dealt with the issue of financial exploitation in the volunteer work sector, and the report also focused on monitoring volunteer cases in which low financial compensation is provided to the volunteers despite some institutions obtaining great financial support without the knowledge of the volunteers or the presence of clear agreements that preserve their rights.
Ayasrah pointed out that the journalistic work started to monitor the fields in the field and direct communication with the affected volunteers, then move to the supporting bodies and the relevant institutions to investigate the facts. The report was published in the Yarmouk Journalism newspaper of Yarmouk University and was widely popular and remarkable within Jordan, especially in light of the increasing interest recently in the volunteer work sector and the need for more transparency in its administration.

For its part, Ghaida Al -Zubaidi mentioned the team of King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, winning the award for the “Podcast” category that this participation came with the support of the university and the faculty members who provided students with an opportunity to present their creative media projects …. Al -Zubaidi participated in a team consisting of eight students in the specialty of journalism and digital media who worked on the production of podcasts highlighting the university student’s journey from the beginning of the study until graduating with the discussion of concepts Mooked about majors and labor market.
Al -Zubaidi explained that the team undertakes the various tasks of writing content, production, design and marketing through social networking sites and the management of the electronic platform … noting that the challenges at the beginning of the project were great, but the victory reflects the value of the collective effort and the development of the team’s skills during the stages of the implementation of the podcast.
She also added that the team created an electronic platform accompanying the podcast that provides practical exercises and cooperation opportunities between students and companies, so that the media project is a bridge linking the student to the labor market and enhancing its career early.
