Al -Kooheji: 458.7 million dollars trade exchange between Bahrain and Korea in 2024 a 15% growth

The second deputy head of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Abdul Jabbar Al -Kooheji, participated in the activities of the seventh Bahraini Business Forum, which was held yesterday, amid a wide official and commercial presence from the Bahraini and Korean sides, with the aim of enhancing the bonds of economic cooperation and exploring new horizons for partnership between the two friendly countries.
In his speech during the forum, Al -Kooheji emphasized the depth of economic and commercial relations that link the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of South Korea, indicating that it is an important tributary to enhance Gulf and Arab cooperation with Korea, and a successful model to be followed in bilateral relations based on the basis of mutual respect, friendship and understanding.
He explained that the relations between the two countries witnessed a remarkable development during the past five decades, as the cooperation has expanded to include many vital fields, especially the commercial sector, pointing out that the volume of trade exchange between Bahrain and South Korea exceeded the barrier of 458.7 million US dollars in 2024, achieving 15% growth compared to the previous year, which reflects the growing momentum in the economic partnership between the two sides.
The forum witnessed the presence of Dr. Hongsang Ko, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as a number of senior officials and representatives of the private sector from both countries, where ways to expand cooperation were discussed in promising economic sectors, and a number of initiatives aimed at enhancing communication between the business community.
During his speech, Al -Kooheji also reviewed a group of sectors that constitute qualitative opportunities for joint investment, most notably: life sciences, health care, tourism, education, financial services, and the automotive industry, calling on businessmen from both countries to explore these areas and develop strategic partnerships that contribute to creating added value to the economies of the two countries.
At the end of his speech, Al -Kooheji praised the successive successes achieved by the previous copies of the Bahraini Korean Business Forum, stressing that the continuity of this event reflects the commitment of the two sides to continue to work to consolidate the pillars of economic cooperation and develop it according to sustainable visions that meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
