Strategic partnership between "The house" and"Department of Education and Knowledge"

Abu Dhabi, April 14 / WAM / Aldar Group, in cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, announced an initiative through which it supports the continuity of non-academic educational activities after school hours by providing alternative spaces within its diverse portfolio of assets, which include retail and hospitality destinations and residential complexes.

This initiative contributes to maintaining student engagement, enhancing community well-being, and supporting the sustainability of small and medium-sized companies’ businesses, in light of the implementation of distance learning systems in schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This partnership comes to support the continuity of providing non-academic activities that play a pivotal role in developing students’ skills, thus consolidating their educational and personal balance in parallel with distance learning.

Activities include sports and creative programs and youth development initiatives, ensuring that structured, high-quality educational experiences continue to be available to students and their families during periods of distance learning.

A wide range of these program providers rely on school facilities to deliver their activities and play established roles within their local communities.

In light of the limited temporary access to these facilities, this initiative contributes to ensuring the continuity of providing activities as much as possible, maintaining close relationships between students, maintaining the quality of programs, and enabling providers to continue contributing to the education system and society in Abu Dhabi.

In this context, a selection of sites have been made available for this purpose, including community centres, shopping centers and hotel assets, providing integrated, accessible environments centered around community service.

These destinations have high demand rates and strategic locations, which facilitates small and medium-sized companies participating in the initiative and reaching broader segments of students and families, which will support the sustainability of the programs and enhance the depth of interaction and participation.

By activating these spaces, Aldar uses its diverse portfolio of assets to support communities and provide broader horizons for communication and interaction.

Salwa Al-Muflhi, Executive Director of Sustainability and Community Outreach at Aldar Group, confirmed that the group’s initiative reflects a firm commitment to supporting the continuity of learning and enhancing opportunities for qualitative enrichment for students, in parallel with empowering small and medium-sized companies as a basic pillar in providing these programs.

She explained that cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi contributes to employing the House’s assets and facilities with high efficiency to meet the growing needs of society, ensuring the preservation of the cohesion and vitality of communities, and their continued support during periods of distance learning.

She added that this initiative embodies Aldar’s strategic approach aimed at achieving sustainable societal value and contributing to building more resilient and inclusive societies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The list of participating SMEs includes a distinguished group of non-academic activity providers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, namely Jump Sports, Storm Sports, Atomics, CF Tennis, Abu Dhabi Knights, Arabian Swimming Academy, Abu Dhabi Card, Capital Netball, Four Notes, Movement, and Abu Dhabi Athletics Academy, which together offer a package Integrated and diverse programs designed for students and families in various parts of the emirate.
