The Sharjah Heritage Institute launches the 18th edition of "Bechara Al -Qaid" Under the slogan "Jasmine responded"

Sharjah, May 28/ WAM/ The Sharjah Institute of Heritage today launched the activities of the eighteenth edition of “Bechara Al -Qaid” under the slogan “Rose Jasmine” amid a remarkable presence of those interested in heritage, school students and lovers of folk culture, as part of its continuous efforts to revive the Emirati heritage and enhance it in the conscience of new generations.
Bechara Al -Qaid is one of the annual heritage activities that the institute has been organizing to celebrate the separation of the parking, which occupies a prominent position in the Emirati folk memory because of the symbolism of the maturity of the fruits and the beginning of the travel season towards the oases and at the same time reflects the spirit of adaptation and harmony that distinguishes the relationship between man and the environment in the local heritage.
And Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Muslim, head of the Sharjah Institute of Heritage, said: “(Bechara Al -Qudaq) comes within the framework of our vision to consolidate the concepts of intangible cultural heritage in daily life and present it with creative methods that keep pace with the aspirations of society. Through this annual event, we highlight the chapter of the vigilance as one of the pivotal seasons in the Emirati folk memory and we seek to highlight its symbolic and social connotations.” Noting that the slogan of this year (Jasmine rose) not only reflects the aesthetic dimension of the heritage, but also embodies the convergence between originality and conscience in a way that enhances the presence of heritage in the conscience of generations and devotes the values of identity and belonging.
For her part, Aisha Ghabbash, Director of Events and Activities Department at the Sharjah Heritage Institute, said: “The effectiveness of (Bechara Al -Qaid) is an important annual station in the agenda of the institute because of its cultural and social values that are closely related to the memory of the Emirati society. The locality explained that the choice of the slogan (Jasmine Word) for this year symbolizes beauty and serenity and reflects the keenness to highlight the sensory and symbolic dimension in the folklore in a way that enhances the public’s association with their national identity.
