“Dubai Lands” issues the first partially protected ownership in the world

The Dubai Lands and Property Department issued the first partial ownership of the world, following the sale of the first real estate project that is on the “Berberco Mint” platform during one day of its launch, in an unprecedented achievement that strengthens the position of Dubai as a global center for real estate innovation and digital transformation.

The first project in the real estate coding initiative witnessed the participation of 224 investors, the new investors who enter the Dubai Real Estate Market for the first time constituted 70% of them, which reflects the confidence of investors and the ease of entering the real estate market through flexible and low -cost digital solutions.

The nationalities of investors in the project also varied to 44 different nationalities, with an average investment of 10 thousand and 714 dirhams per person.

The first platform of its kind in the region continues to attract wide attention, as the number of requests in the waiting list exceeded 6000, which confirms the increasing demand for digital ownership solutions, and embodies Dubai’s ability to attract new segments of investors from all over the world.

The real estate coding project has been developed by “Dubai Land” in cooperation with the Authority to organize virtual assets “VARA”, the Emirates Central Bank and the Dubai Foundation for the Future through “Sandbox Real Estate”, and was implemented through the “Berberco Mint” platform, which is officially licensed and approved for real estate coding in the emirate.

This trend aims to expand the base of real estate investors, enhance transparency and speed of transactions, in line with the targets of the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, and the Dubai Economic Agency «D33».

The Dubai Land is currently working to enable real estate developers to include their projects on the platform, to expand the scope of the initiative and open new horizons for digital real estate investment.
