This came after the administration of the suspects and criminal phenomena in the General Administration of Investigations and Criminal Investigations seized a gang that includes 41 beggars of Arab nationality in an operation called “Al -Mobah”.

Dubai Police indicated that the gang members were all lived in one hotel, and exploited it in the management of their begging profession, and that they found in their possession more than 60 thousand dirhams.

The process of controlling beggars comes as part of a campaign to stimulate begging launched by the Dubai Police General Command under the slogan “a conscious society, without begging”, in cooperation with the strategic partners with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of preserving the civilizational image of the state through combating and preventing begging.

Dubai Police explained that the details of the beggars arrest due to the receipt of a communication center (901) stating that beggars are selling swimming pools and some accessories for the purpose of begging.

She indicated that upon receiving the report, the Monitoring and Analysis Department worked in the administration of the suspects and criminal phenomena to monitor the place until three people were seen selling swimming pools and accessories, in addition to begging from the people in the place, so they were arrested.

Dubai Police continued: “Through the search and investigation process, the seizures admitted that they were a gang of beggars who entered the state with a visit visa and resided in a hotel,” adding that in coordination with the hotel management, 28 of them were seized, all of them of the same citizenship, and on the second day the other 10 were seized, and they were about to leave the hotel to another place, where they confessed to their nerve formation for the purpose of begging, and transferred to the competent authorities to take legal measures For them. “

In this context, the Dubai Police confirmed that the “Struggle begging” campaign contributed to reducing the numbers of beggars annually due to the strict and firm measures taken against the seized beggars, noting that it is annually developing an integrated security plan to combat begging, by intensifying patrols in the places expected to be beggars.
