Sharjah, May 30 / WAM / The Sharjah Center for Entrepreneurship (Sharaa) organized the first version of “Marsa Sharq Investment” at its headquarters, and gathered about 200 startups and provided them with the opportunity to communicate with a group of active investors, and the event yesterday witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between (Saraa) and “Continos Venture Capital” with the aim of opening new horizons for financing for the startups affiliated with Sahara. More than 450 startups and contributed to the collection of approximately $ 300 million of financing.

The “Investment Marina” event is obligated to accelerate the arrival of startups to capital and provide support that allows them to achieve sustainable growth and expansion in the markets, and each emerging company had to share the opportunity to hold individual meetings with investors who were chosen based on the compatibility of interests and investment fields in a way that enhances the chances of achieving fruitful results.

The event included a dialogue session, entitled “In the Mind of the Investor”, which hosted Sonia Wimuller, co -founder and general partner at Venturesouq and member of the Consultative Council for a sail, and Wimuller presented insightful visions about the expectations of investors and mechanisms of investment decision -making based on their extensive experience in supporting startups in the region and abroad.
