Cooperation between “Dua” and “Azarish” in innovation and sustainability

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Diwa) and the Azerbaijani Electricity Company (Azarish) discussed the prospects for joint cooperation to enhance innovation and sustainability in the energy sector, this came during the reception of the managing director, CEO of the Authority, Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO of Azerish, Fujar Ahmedov.

Diwa stated in a statement yesterday, that the discussion centered on the areas of potential cooperation in the electricity sector, especially the sustainable energy solutions, network flexibility, and the speedy transition to clean energy. During the meeting, Al -Tayer highlighted the ambitious goals of Dubai in the field of clean energy, in line with the Emirates Climate Need Strategy 2050, and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050.
