ADNOC’s work system is capable of providing reliable energy supplies despite all the challenges

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee of the ADNOC Board of Directors, which was held at the company’s headquarters.

During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on ADNOC’s plans to enable business continuity, including a comprehensive guide to proactive planning procedures to deal with various possible scenarios before, during and after their occurrence, in accordance with the highest international standards and best practices applied by major global petroleum companies and facilities to confront the challenges associated with various forms of emergencies, crises and disasters.

His Highness was also briefed on ADNOC’s plans to protect its personnel and assets to ensure the effective and safe conduct of operational operations and the continuation of production, in addition to the procedures to ensure the safety of the facilities of all companies affiliated with the group to ensure the fulfillment of its obligations to serve its customers locally, regionally and internationally and to meet the needs of global energy markets, and to enhance the flexibility of energy supply chains by making temporary operational adjustments to products designated for export due to the disturbances witnessed in maritime navigation and shipping traffic that were affected by regional conditions in the region.

ADNOC continues to evaluate the situation on a site-by-site, product-by-transaction basis, to ensure that the needs of its customers and stakeholders are met as much as possible.

The Executive Committee meeting reviewed the report on the results of the impact of operational operations in some of ADNOC’s oil facilities, whether directly or as a result of falling shrapnel as a result of the successful response operations carried out by the UAE air defenses against ballistic missiles and drones due to the blatant Iranian attacks on the country’s territory, which constitute a flagrant violation of all international laws, charters and norms and represent a direct threat to global energy security and the stability of the region.

His Highness praised the high readiness and rapid response of the teams of all national agencies and institutions in dealing with these incidents and exceptional circumstances, and the efforts to maintain the safety of cadres and workers on the front lines and sites to ensure the continuity of operational operations in various petroleum facilities. His Highness stressed that the work system at ADNOC embodies the highest standards of operational flexibility and professional efficiency in the face of emergency circumstances, and its ability to continue providing reliable supplies of energy despite all challenges.

During the meeting, His Highness met with members of ADNOC’s business continuity team, and His Highness sent a message to the front-line teams at the company’s sites, via remote video communication technology, during which he praised the high morale of all cadres, and the dedication and sincerity they showed in working to overcome the current circumstances and challenges with determination and steadfastness.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Health and Community Protection, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, the Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, and the Chairman of the Department of Finance in Abu Dhabi, Jassim Mohammed Buataba Al Zaabi.
