The number of companies listed in China’s stock exchanges increased to 5420
BEIJING, May 31 / WAM / The Chinese Association of Companies listed on the stock exchange stated that the number of companies registered in the local stock market in China reached 5420 companies by the end of last April.
These companies were distributed on three main stock exchanges, as the Shanghai Stock Exchange acquired 2284 companies, followed by the Churching Stock Exchange with 2871 companies, then the Beijing Stock Exchange with 265.
State -owned holding companies made up 27% of all listed companies, and state -owned holding companies 73%.
Three provinces, Guangdong, Chigiang and Jiangsu, contributed 42.58% of the total number of companies listed in the Chinese stock market.
With regard to the market value, there were 119 companies with a market value exceeding 100 billion yuan (13.89 billion dollars), and 1398 companies with a market value ranging from 10 and 100 billion yuan.
