A memorandum of understanding between "Climate change and the environment" And the Emirates Growth Fund

Abu Dhabi on June 1/ WAM/ The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the Emirates Growth Fund signed a strategic memorandum of understanding aimed at supporting the growth of Emirati companies that lead innovative solutions in the areas of food security, sustainable agriculture, and environmental technology.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed within the activities of the first edition of the Emirati Agricultural Conference and Exhibition in Al Ain, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and His Excellency Najla Al -Muda, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Fund for Growth.
This partnership embodies a common national vision aimed at empowering the private sector, especially small and medium -sized companies, to perform a pivotal role in building a more self -dependent national economy capable of responding to flexibility to future environmental and nutritional challenges
Cooperation between the two sides focuses on accelerating the growth of companies operating in the fields of food and water security, local agricultural production, environmental technologies, and economic models compatible with climate and includes the exchange of experiences and the joint promotion of qualified companies, and highlighting Emirati success stories that are consistent with a long -term vision in the fields of climate and food security.
His Excellency Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak said that this cooperation paves the way for our efforts to achieve our common goals and in line with the directions of the national strategy for food security 2051, and the vision of the UAE 2031, describing the private sector as a major component in our march towards achieving environmental flexibility and promoting the sustainable national food security of the UAE.
She added that by enabling small and medium -sized companies working in food supply chains and environmental innovation, we can lay established foundations for building a sustainable economy now and in the future, and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is committed to enhancing comprehensive climate work in all sectors, and ensuring readiness and ability to adapt to changing global challenges.
For its part, His Excellency Naglaa Al -Mudaa said that the Emirates Growth Fund is established to enable companies that contribute to addressing national challenges through innovation and expansion and through this partnership, we not only provide “patient capital”, but we also provide a long -term strategic partnership that includes support in governance, strategic guidance, linking founders to growth networks and our focus on agricultural technology and environmental innovation is A direct investment in the pillars of sustainability and economic sovereignty of the UAE.
It is worth noting that the “Emirates Growth Fund” was established with a capital of one billion dirhams, and is considered a leading investment platform that supports Emirati companies in the growth phase, operating in strategic sectors such as manufacturing, food security, health care, and advanced technology.
The fund provides more than just financing, providing an active partnership that helps in institutional growth and achieve a sustainable national impact.
