Manchester United contracts with Brazilian Konia

Manchester United and the European Football League “Europa League” signed a contract with Brazilian striker Matiush Kony from Wolverhampton, in a deal worth 62.5 million pounds (83 million dollars), according to press reports on Sunday.
Konia is expected to continue in the ranks of the “Red Devils” for five years, with an option to extend for an additional year.
“Manchester United has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton to sign Matthew Konya. Everyone is looking at Manchester United to welcome Sonia in Old Trafford,” said United’s statement.
The 26 -year -old was in Manchester during the weekend to finish the touches on the deal, which is still subject to a visa and official registration.
Konya has played 13 international matches with the Brazil team and scored 18 goals in all competitions this season with Wolverhampton, and also won the award for the best player in the team.
The Brazilian striker ended his career with Wolverhampton with 33 goals in 92 games in all competitions, since joining from Atletico Madrid in January 2023.
Manchester United made the penalty clause in Connia’s contract with Wolverhampton to be the first deal by Portuguese coach Robin Amorim in the summer transfer market.
Amorim lost the European League final against Tottenham, to end a disappointing season in which he ranked fifteenth in the league, which is the worst position that the club has achieved since the 1973-1974 season.
