Jordan misses out on victory over Costa Rica in the final minutes

The Jordanian national team lost a 2-0 lead against its Costa Rican counterpart and emerged with a 2-2 draw, today, Friday, in a friendly match at the Marden Stadium in the Turkish city of Antalya, as part of its current training camp in preparation for its historic participation in the 2026 World Cup finals.

Bahaa Faisal scored the first goal for “Al-Nashama” in the 50th minute, before Ibrahim Sabra increased the lead with the second goal in the 76th minute, while the Costa Rica national team reduced the gap through a penalty kick in the 83rd minute, before equalizing in the 90th minute.

Al-Nashama is scheduled to play a second friendly match against the Nigerian national team next Tuesday at the same stadium.

The team’s roster includes 26 players: Yazid Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Abdul Rahman Suleiman, Abdullah Nasib, Yazan Al-Arab, Hossam Abu Dahab, Muhammad Abu Al-Nadi, Salim Obaid, Youssef Abu Al-Jazar, Ahmed Assaf, Muhannad Abu Taha, Muhammad Abu Hashish, Muhammad Taha, Ibrahim Saada, Amer Jamous, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Youssef Qashi, Muhammad Al-Dawoud, Mahmoud Mardi, Musa. Al-Taamari, Ibrahim Sabra, Odeh Al-Fakhouri, Muhammad Abu Zureiq, Ali Azayza, and Bahaa Faisal.

The national team is preparing to record its first participation in the history of the World Cup, after the draw placed it in the tenth group alongside the teams of Argentina, Algeria and Austria.
