Last moment discounts increases the demand for shopping centers on the eve of Eid

Shopping centers in the country witnessed an active commercial movement, and a great turnout by consumers, on the eve of Eid al -Adha (Eid Night), to buy the requirements and needs of the feast in light of extensive discounts and discounts, which included a large number of goods and products that are increasing during the Eid.
A tour of “Emirates Today” in a number of shopping centers showed that commercial stores in those centers extended working hours after regular closure dates, given the intense crowding, and the presence of long lines of consumers in front of the payment boxes, amid a great diversity in discount offers, especially the last minute discounts.
Consumers stated that Eid al -Adha offers in a number of sales outlets represented a return to discounts on a number of fresh food products, but at the same time they indicated the exception of fresh poultry from offers in some ports.
In turn, retail officials said that the active commercial movement paid at the rates of discounts amounting to 50% included a large number of commodities in shops and ports, most notably foodstuffs, clothes, shoes, handbags and travel bags, in addition to electronics and electrical and home appliances, noting that sales recorded the heights of 60% amid great demand.
They attributed the exclusion of some commodities from the discounts or putting them in limited proportions, mainly, to the variation of the marketing policies of the sales outlets.
Family tradition
In detail, the consumer Mona Hassan said that a large number of shops and sales outlets in Abu Dhabi shopping centers, offered discounts at proportions that ranged between 20% and 50% on Eid supplies, most notably clothes, bags, shoes, household appliances and dining devices, which helped her buy the needs of her family at reasonable prices.
She added that despite the launch of shops, cuts several days before the feast, she prefers to buy just before the feast in a habit that it is keen annually, amid great joy on the part of the children.
Consumer Emad Anwar confirmed that commercial stores in shopping centers offered different discounts at proportions, mostly between 20% and 40% on a wide range of commodities before Eid al -Adha, included clothes, electronics, travel bags, furniture and decoration supplies, along with the expansion of sales outlets in offering discounts on food commodities, especially meat, milk, vegetables, fruits and cheese, along with besides Electronics and home appliances.
He said, that the proposal of many stores and outlets has helped to purchase some of the needs of families early, but it agreed that the shopping immediately before the Eid is a family tradition that spreads joy among children, and is keen on it annually, as well as that the discounts immediately before the Eid are wider and include additional goods that are not offered to be offered much.
The consumer, Raed Zidan, considered that the discounts of the last moments before the feast attracted large numbers of consumers in light of the rates of high discounts amid crowds and long lines that spanned hours, explaining that the goods included the needs of families that will spend the leave in the country or that will travel abroad.
Fresh goods
The consumer, Samer Abed, said that the Dubai and Sharjah markets witnessed, through the offers presented before the feast in a number of cooperatives and retailer outlets, a return to discounts on fresh goods, especially red meat products of various types, fish, vegetables, fruits and dairy, but they excluded fresh poultry despite their importance and their being considered one of the products with high demand during the feast.
The consumer, Ali Khaled, considered that the absence of fresh poultry products from most of the offers on the occasion of Eid al -Adha is one of the negative manifestations in those offers that restored the downloads on various products of fresh foods such as red meat and fish.
The consumer, Ahmed Abdel -Azim, stated that although the cuts currently offered in many of the outlets on the occasion of the feast included many fresh food products, they witnessed limited offers on other products. The consumer, Moataz Hussein, stressed the importance of selling outlets to offer downloads on the most requested goods, such as fresh poultry and table eggs.
Increase sales
For his part, the official in the management of one of the commercial centers, Samir Asaad, said that sales of shops for Eid goods recorded heights at rates that reached 60% amid large crowding that lasted for several days, and if sales reached their climax directly just before the feast, especially since the discounts included various goods, indicating the different rates of discounts according to the shop and the commodity, but most of them ranged between 30% and 50%.
In turn, the official in one of the major sales outlets, Ali Dawood, said that although several outlets offered early discounts more than 10 days before the holiday, the crowding reached its climax directly before the feast, coinciding with the start of the leave, driven by the offering of the outlets of discounts on a wide range of goods, which included fresh food commodities, most notably the meat, poultry, fresh and frozen. Fruits, along with many basic commodities, electronics and home appliances.
He pointed out that sales of many outlets for Eid goods recorded increases of more than 60% amid a great diversity in the goods offered.
Marketing policies
In the context, the director of institutional communication at the “Lulu Commercial” group, Nanda Kumar, said that “diversity is one of the nature of the discounts offered in the markets, which includes many commodities according to the marketing policies of each outlet.”
The sales manager at one of the retailer outlets, Dilip Fishal, considered that “offering discounts on many goods and excluding others or offering them in limited proportions, mainly due to the variation of the marketing policies of the outlets in offering discounts, in addition to the extent of the cooperation of companies supplying these goods to include them with discounts or not.”
The sales official at one of the retailers ports, Mohamed Amin, stated that “the absence of fresh poultry products and limited table egg offers in the displaced offers in many outlets are due to the high continuous demand for these products, and the preference of the outlets focusing offers on different other goods, especially red meat, which is suitable for the rituals of the Eid al -Adha season.”
