June 25 .. Honoring the Sharjah Excellence Award winners

Sharjah on June 8 / WAM / The Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Excellence Award, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, announced the holding of the closing ceremony to honor the winners of the 2024 session on June 25.

The Council approved the extension of the registration period for the award for the 2025 prize until January 31, 2026, and also discussed a set of proposals, most notably the study of the launch of a new category for “Best Service”, and stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences with prestigious excellence prizes at the state level.

This came during the periodic meeting held by the council headed by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the award, and in the presence of the members of the Council, His Excellency Hamad Ali Al -Mahmoud, Chairman of the Economic Development Department in Sharjah, His Excellency Khaled Jassim Al -Midfa, Chairman of the Commercial and Tourist Development Authority in Sharjah, His Excellency Walid Abdel Rahman Boukhtar, Second Deputy Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al Shehhi, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and His Excellency Naglaa Ahmed The cannon, the vice president of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Saraa), His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Amin Al -Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, His Excellency Dr. Salah Taher Al -Hajj, Assistant Director of Sharjah University for Community Affairs, Walou Samuel, General Manager of Berlite Middle East Sharjah.

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais affirmed the commitment of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to continue developing the award, and to enhance its role as a platform to stimulate excellence and innovation in the business community, in a way that keeps pace with international best practices, and contributes to achieving Sharjah’s development and innovation development and construction of a competitive and sustainable knowledge economy.

He pointed out that the noticeable increase in the number of posts reflects increasing confidence in the status of the award locally and regionally, stressing that the award will continue to support the emirate’s economy and highlight entrepreneurial projects and distinguished achievements, and consolidate the culture of institutional excellence and create a positive competitive environment in various sectors, especially after it gained a Gulf dimension that enhances the leadership of Sharjah and the UAE in developing the standards of institutional excellence.

For her part, Nada Al -Hajri, the general coordinator of the award, confirmed that the meeting came out with a number of important decisions and recommendations that will direct the course of the next stage, foremost of which is the extension of the registration for the next session until January 31, 2026, and a recommendation to study the inclusion of a new category for the award, in addition to the proposal to open the way for companies ’participation from various emirates of the state, and enhance marketing efforts for the award.

The prize development march reflected the Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to consolidate the concepts of quality, excellence and innovation, and to encourage the Emirati and Gulf private sector to adopt international best practices.

The award currently includes eight main categories that include the Sharjah Gulf Emiratisation Award, the Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, the Sharjah Excellence Award, the Sharjah Prize for Small and Medium Enterprises, the Sharjah Prize for Entrepreneurs, the Sharjah Society Prize, the Sharjah Award for Best Establishment to Security Standards, and the Sharjah Prize for Business Pioneers with Disabilities.

The award adopts an easy electronic presentation mechanism through its official website: www.shjseen.ae, and is based on its arbitration on accurate and transparent criteria according to the highest international models and the approved standards for the fourth generation, through specialized committees that include a group of qualified experts and residents, in a way that guarantees objectivity and integrity in choosing the winners.
