Mohammed bin Rashid lay the foundation stone for the first station in the Blue Line of the Dubai Metro

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, laid the foundation stone for the first station in the Blue Line of the Dubai Metro.

His Highness said in a post on his account on the “X” platform: “While laying the foundation stone for the first station within the Blue Line of the Dubai Metro, whose total benefits are 56 billion dirhams … The station represents an architectural icon added to Dubai’s civilizational icons and will be the first blue line stations that will span 30 kilometers to reach the total length of the railway in Dubai 131 km and 78 stations.”

His Highness added: “The Dubai Metro has moved from its launch until the end of last year more than 2.5 billion people at a rate of 900 thousand passengers per day. The new track will be a major addition to the transportation infrastructure in the emirate.”

His Highness concluded by saying: “You are continuing to develop the city … You are continuing to build the best city to live in the world.”
