Hamdan bin Mohammed meets representatives of promising space companies in the country to discuss the future of the sector

Dubai, June 11/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and President of the Supreme Space Council, met with a group of representatives of promising national companies working in the country’s space sector, within the framework of His Highness’s keenness to support the continuous efforts to develop the national space system and enhance the position of the UAE as a leading global center in the space economy.
His Highness said, “The real partnership and strategic cooperation between the government and private sectors represents the basic pillar of building an advanced and advanced space system that focuses on continuous innovation and sustainable investment in future technologies.”
His Highness added, “Our faith is firmly firmly in the exceptional capabilities of companies and entrepreneurs and their pivotal role in advancing progress in the national space economy, and enhancing the UAE’s position as a leading and favorite global destination in this vital and strategic field.”
His Highness continued, “The space sector represents an important bridge to cross into the future and a basic pillar of sustainable economic development, and we in the UAE are working continuously to provide an advanced and integrated environment that supports the growth and prosperity of national companies, and opens new promising prospects for investment and innovation, which contributes to enhancing the state’s competitiveness and its pioneering position on the international scene in the space sector. The private sector is leading the space scene in the UAE, in confirmation of the maturity of national investments that have been established for three decades.

His Highness reviewed the most prominent current projects of companies and their long -term strategic plans to contribute to the national economy, in addition to their expansion and investment visions for the next stage.
The mechanisms of enhancing cooperation and partnership between the government and private sectors were also reviewed, and ways to develop the national space system to keep pace with the latest global technical and scientific developments.
His Highness listened to an explanation about the promising investment opportunities in the national space sector, and the proposals and initiatives aimed at expanding the scope of business and operations inside and outside the country, in a move that reflects the pivotal and vital role of the private sector in formulating the features of the next stage and achieving the strategic goals of the state towards building an integrated and advanced space economy that achieves global competitiveness.
The owners of companies affirmed their full commitment to support the UAE’s targets in the space sector, their keenness to expand their business within the country, and to enhance their contribution to the national system for innovation, research and development, noting that the elastic organizational environment and the advanced infrastructure provided by the UAE, represents major attraction to continue investment and develop future space projects.
Companies representatives also praised the continuous government efforts to support the private sector and enable it to play an active role in developing the space system, through the economic space areas program, in addition to the role of supportive policies and economic motivations in providing cooperation opportunities with the relevant national bodies, which in turn enhances the integration of roles and pushes towards achieving comprehensive and sustainable development goals in the space sector.
This came in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Balah Al -Falasi, Minister of Sports, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council for Space, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Space Agency, and each of Khaled Al -Awadi, a founder of Ramal Company, Ibrahim Al -Obaidli, founder of the Earth of Creativity Company for Information Solutions, David Critcheli, CEO of 4Ei, and Dr. Hamdallah Moheb, CEO of Marlan Space, Alex Labir CEO of Alinsis, and Abdel Halim Glad is a co -founder of Orex Space, and Rhodinko, CEO of Aspire Space Technology.
