A Saudi agricultural partnership with more than 428 million riyals

Amsterdam on June 11 / WAM / The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands signed agreements and memoranda of understanding whose investments exceed 428 million riyals, with the aim of developing and localizing modern technologies in the environment, water and agriculture sectors.

Eng. Mansour Al -Mushaiti, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, sponsored the signing of 27 agreements during his official visit to the Netherlands, which aims to strengthen international partnerships to achieve the Kingdom’s 2030 vision targets.

The partnerships included vital areas, most notably the localization of the research to combat livestock, the development of agriculture in greenhouses, and the enhancement of potato productivity with investments in excess of 76 million riyals, in addition to huge investments in the fields of fertilizers and vegetable and fruits with a value exceeding 292 million riyals.
The Saudi Press Agency stated that these agreements come within the framework of the Ministry’s endeavor to enhance the ability of the Saudi agricultural sector globally and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
