I was aware of the Israeli attack on Iran

US President Donald Trump told Fox News that he was aware that Israel would launch strikes on Iran before it occurred, stressing that Tehran “could not possess a nuclear bomb,” according to the American channel.

His statements to Fox came after Israel bombed Iran in a series of air strikes on Friday, as it hit 100 targets, including nuclear and military sites.

As for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he said that the operation targeted the Natanz Nuclear facility, while Iranian media reported that the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hussein Salami, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Baqri, was killed.

Trump told Fox News that he was informed of the Israeli operation before it occurred.

“Iran cannot possess a nuclear bomb, and we hope to return to the negotiating table. We will see,” Trump said, according to Fox News.

“Trump indicated that the United States is ready to defend itself and from Israel if Iran responds,” Fox News also said.
