Sheikha Al -Nuwais stresses the importance of localizing advanced solutions in developing tourist products and destinations

Abu Dhabi, June 16 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikha Nasser Al -Nuwais, the Secretary -General of the United Nations Tourism Organization for the period from 2026-2029, participated in the FIFA 2025 Gallery and Forum, which was held under the slogan “The New Borders of Innovation”, with wide international participation of decision makers, companies and innovation pioneers from all over the world and concluded his work the day before yesterday.
Her Excellency visited the UAE wing at the exhibition and reviewed the most prominent projects and innovations provided by the Emirati small and medium companies, especially the tourism sector and its related activities, and praised the products and digital services that these companies have created and their role in providing new solutions that contribute to the service of the community.
During the meeting of Emirati entrepreneurs at the exhibition, Al -Nuwais stressed the importance of localizing advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in developing hotel services and tourism destinations according to international best practices, noting that technology has become a major element to provide distinguished tourism experiences, raise the quality of services provided to tourists, and enhance the competitiveness of the tourism sector.
Her Excellency toured a number of wings of international companies participating in the exhibition, which works in the fields of advanced technology, artificial intelligence, digital solutions, and looked at the latest innovations and technologies that these sectors have contributed to reshaping the future of the digital economy and smart tourism.
It is noteworthy that the “FIFA Tech” exhibition is the largest technology event and the largest exhibition for startups in Europe, and the current year’s version of the exhibition has wide international participation of decision makers, corporate leaders and innovation pioneers from around the world and attracted about 165,000 visitors, and more than 13,500 startups participated, along with 3,500 exhibitors and 3,200 investors, which makes it a unique platform to accelerate innovation, and exchange Ideas, and building strategic partnerships.
