“Dubai Roads” completes the 2nd stage of the Smart Entertainment Signs Expanding project

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has completed the second phase of the smart infantry signal project, by installing smart signals in 10 additional sites in separate areas of the emirate, bringing the total number of intersections covered by signals in the first and second stages to 27 intersections.
This expansion comes after the success of the first phase that covered 17 intersections, within the framework of the authority’s efforts to employ the latest technologies in developing traffic systems and promoting traffic safety and flow, in support of Dubai’s position as a leading city in smart infrastructure and sustainable movement.
Mohamed Al Ali, Director of Smart Traffic Systems Department at the Traffic and Roads Corporation in the authority, said that the sites covered at this stage included intersections on Omar Bin Al -Khattab Street, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, Al -Sattawa Street, Salah Al -Din Street, Amman Street, Al Qusais Street in front of workers’ housing, and Oud Metha Street in front of the school area, indicating that the initiative contributed to raising the level of safety at the pedestrians in those sites, which reflects the effectiveness of the system in the system Reducing risks and improving the experience of road users.
