“Al -Freij Refrigerator” distributes two million water and ice creams to workers in Dubai

“Ferjan Dubai”, with the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives Corporation, in cooperation with the Emirates Suqya Foundation and Emirates Food Bank, launched the second version of the community societal campaign “Al -Freij Refrigerator”, with the aim of distributing two million packages of cold water, juices and ice cream to workers in Dubai, to alleviate the effects of summer heat on them, and enhance the values ​​of solidarity and compassion in the Dubai community.

The campaign will continue until August 23, to cover the various regions of the Emirate of Dubai, and target cleaners and construction workers, drivers of delivery, and agricultural workers to streets and roads, which contributes to reducing health risks associated with high temperatures such as dryness and heat stress.

Both the Emirates Foundation and the Emirates Food Bank play a pivotal role in supporting the “Freej Refrigerator” campaign and achieving its humanitarian goals, as the “Boatia Emirates” Foundation provides large quantities of water packages for distribution to workers, while the Emirates Food Bank allows its warehouses equipped to preserve water, beverages and ice cream, and allocates refrigerated distribution vehicles to ensure their delivery in a safe and fast delivery to workers, as well as the participation of its volunteers In field distribution operations.

Ibrahim Al -Balushi, Director of the Sustainability and Partnerships Department at the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation, said that the “Freej Refrigerator” campaign reflects the essence of our mission in the institution, which places man at the core of its priorities, and seeks to consolidate the values ​​of solidarity and compassion in the Emirati society, and this campaign comes within the framework of our continuous support for humanitarian and societal initiatives that cause direct difference in people’s lives, and enshrines the concepts of mutual support Humanity.

He added that the “Freej Refrigerator” campaign is a model to follow in the humanitarian work, as institutional efforts meet with the energies of society and volunteers to contribute effectively to improving the quality of the life of workers who play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable development, especially in light of the difficult weather conditions during the summer.

In the context of its implementation of the “Freej Refrigerator” campaign, Ferjan Dubai depends on the management of refrigerated cars that roam the various areas of the Emirate of Dubai, to distribute water, juices and ice cream to workers in external sites.

The campaign also includes the provision of fixed refrigerators in workers’ housing equipped with water, juices and ice cream, in a way that enhances the impact of the initiative in reaching the largest possible number of beneficiaries, and the “Freej Refrigerator” campaign attracts volunteers from various segments of society to contribute to the implementation of distribution operations.

The campaign partners contribute to a fundamental role in providing the necessary logistical resources and support to ensure the implementation of the campaign efficiently and its spread in various regions of Dubai.

The first version of the “Al -Freij Refrigerator” campaign, which was organized in the summer of 2024, achieved great success in distributing one million packages of cold water, juices and ice cream to workers in Dubai, and witnessed wide support from government agencies and private companies.
