Abu Dhabi, June 24 / WAM / Dr. Mai Laith Al -Taie, Director of the Emirates College for Educational Development, confirmed that the strategic decision of the UAE to obligate the teaching of the Arabic language, Islamic studies and social concepts in the kindergarten stage in private schools, enhances the national identity of future generations, and establishes cultural, moral and historical values in the hearts of our children since their early years, which reflects the vision of our rational leadership and its keenness to preserve the inheritance Cultural for the UAE, enhancing belonging and loyalty, and supporting the national development process.
She explained that the Emirates College for Educational Development continues its national efforts in empowering educators and teachers through academic programs specialized in Arabic and Islamic studies, such as a higher diploma in education during service, and a higher diploma in education for the pre -service secondary stage, in order to enhance the efficiency of teachers in teaching these vital courses, and preserving the cultural identity in a changing world.
Al -Taie concluded by saying that the Arabic language and Islamic studies are the main pillars in the education system in the UAE; They represent the essence of our national and cultural identity, and a tool to instill the values and principles on which our country was founded, and their teaching is obligatory, along with social concepts, a national and strategic responsibility within the college’s priorities and future vision.
