The UAE condemns the Iranian terrorist targeting of Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar
Abu Dhabi, March 19, 2017 – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed the UAE’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian terrorist attack that targeted the Ras Laffan Industrial City in the sisterly State of Qatar, which resulted in massive damage.
His Highness stressed that these attacks constitute a dangerous escalation and a violation of the principles of international law, affirming the UAE’s full solidarity and support with the State of Qatar, and its absolute support for all measures it takes to preserve and protect its security and the safety of its citizens and residents of its lands and maintain its stability.
His Highness stressed that this attack, which targeted industrial infrastructure, represents a direct threat to global energy security, the security and stability of the region and its people, and entails serious environmental and humanitarian repercussions.
