Sharjah Economy promotes investment opportunities with the Sultanate of Oman

Sharjah, on June 24 / WAM / The Department of Economic Development in Sharjah organized a joint virtual workshop with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote promising economic sectors and investment opportunities in the Emirate of Sharjah in the context of strengthening the established economic relations between Sharjah and the Sultanate of Oman and with the aim of expanding the prospects for cooperation and exploring investment opportunities in the Emirate of Sharjah.

A number of officials and representatives of government and private agencies and a number of investors from different sectors from both sides participated in the workshop, where the investment opportunities available in Sharjah and the review of successful experiences in the fields of manufacturing, supply chains, industrial areas, manufacturing and other sectors were highlighted.

His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al -Mahmoud, Head of the Economic Development Department in Sharjah, stressed that the Emirate of Sharjah, thanks to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate, works to provide an ideal climate for investment and ensure the continuity of business in a way that contributes to encouraging companies to develop their businesses and facilitate and attract more investments, through the adoption of Policies and providing advanced services that contribute to facilitating investor procedures and stimulating economic growth in line with the emirate’s vision in promoting economic sustainability and support.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Amr Saleh, the economic advisor to the Department of Economic Development, dealt with the development of the growth of licenses and facilities in the Emirate of Sharjah during the past ten years, as well as indicators of investment in the emirate and the volume of trade exchange between the two sides and major projects currently existing and the most important investment sectors in Sharjah and investment opportunities in the existing projects in the emirate.

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in priority sectors, including industrial and commercial investment, and the importance of exchanging experiences and knowledge was discussed between economic institutions in the two countries.
