"Emirates Aluminum" Production operations begin using smart melting technology

Abu Dhabi, June 26 / WAM / Emirates International Aluminum Company announced today the start of aluminum production in experimental reduction cells using EX technology, the next generation of new melting technology developed by the company.
The experimental project in the long is an important step towards adopting this technology on a wide industrial scale, and it is an essential pillar to support the growth of primary aluminum production in the future, and to consolidate the company’s position in the field of melting technologies worldwide.
The company is working to adopt the latest technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in the sector within the experimental project, including the activation of all its modern applications, in addition to developing digital capabilities that depend on artificial intelligence and advanced data analyzes.
Abdel Nasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, said that the start of production in the experimental reduction cells of EX technology is an important step in enhancing the company’s position in the field of melting technologies and supports the growth of its business in the future, looking forward to expanding their initial aluminum production using smart and advanced melting technologies to build the future of aluminum industry, and enhance the value provided by the Emirates International Aluminum through its global partnerships in this field.
The EX melting cells provide a higher production technology per square meter compared to the company’s DX+ Ultra technology, and DX+ Ultra technology is one of the most efficient artificial technology in the aluminum industry in the world.
It is expected that the new generation of technology will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions for each ton of aluminum by 5% for a design that enhances productivity, and about 12% for the lowest energy consumption design.
