Toyota’s Japanese cars sales over last May

Tokyo on June 27 / WAM / The Japanese Motor Giant for Cars announced today, Friday, its sales of cars in global markets last May, on an annual basis.
Toyota Motor’s shares, as a result of the increase in sales volume, increased by 3% during transactions in Japan, and global sales increased by 7.5% in May compared to the previous year, where 955 thousand and 532 vehicles were sold.
Sales inside Japan increased by 14.5% compared to the previous year to reach 147 thousand and 80 vehicles, while sales outside Japan increased by 6.4% to reach 808 thousand and 452 vehicles.
Toyota’s brand sales, including Lexus, reached 898 thousand and 721 vehicles, an increase of 6.9% compared to the previous year.
Daihatsu sales increased by 26.5%, while Hino sales decreased by 11.1%, sales increased worldwide from the beginning of the year to today by 8.4% on an annual basis to reach 4.61 million vehicles, while sales inside Japan increased by 31.2% to reach 869 thousand and 102 vehicles, and sales outside Japan increased by 4.2% to reach 3.74 million vehicles.
