Ahmed bin Saeed is witnessing the graduation of students of Mohammed bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences

Dubai, June 27 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Dubai Health”, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the 2025 batch of male and female students of Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, the arm of learning and discovery for Dubai Health, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The total number of graduates reached 164 male and female students from 30 programs in various specializations, from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Dental College, the College of Nursing and Kiss, the College of Medicine, and the Deanship of Higher Medical Studies.
The university also witnessed the graduation of the first batch of a doctoral program in biomedical science, which is the first of its kind in Dubai, as well as graduating 6 students from the postgraduate diploma program in teaching health professions.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum congratulated the graduates and their families, stressing that the university continues to perform its vital role in providing the health sector with qualified competencies that have the ability to make a positive and sustainable change in society, praising the efforts of the graduates in enhancing the capabilities of the health system and expanding its positive impact.
His Highness said: “Dubai, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, continues to establish its position as a global center for excellence in medical education and scientific research. We are proud to graduate a new elite of medical cadres that will support the efforts of the Emirate of Dubai in providing an advanced model for health care.”
His Highness the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Dubai Health”, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences, called for graduates to practice their profession and their humanitarian messenger in a spirit of commitment and responsibility, stressing the importance of continuing learning, development and constant readiness to keep pace with transformations in the health sector, in order to enhance their ability to cause a tangible impact on the lives of individuals and societies.
For her part, His Excellency Dr. Raja Issa Al -Gurg, a member of the Board of Directors of “Dubai Health”, and Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid University Council for Medicine and Health Sciences, said that the graduation of a new batch of university students is a cause of pride and pride, and reflects the university’s commitment to its mission to enable young competencies and prepare tomorrow’s leaders in the health care sector.
She added: “Since its establishment nine years ago, under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God bless him, the university is moving at a steady pace to be an incubator environment for excellence and creativity, which contributes to the rehabilitation of generations capable of providing innovative solutions that enhance the quality of life and support the aspirations of the UAE and Dubai towards a sustainable healthy future.”
The guest of the honor of the ceremony delivered His Excellency Prof. Dr. Alawi Sheikh Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority in a speech, in which he affirmed that the interest of the wise leadership in man and knowledge is not the result of today, but rather a rooted approach in the history of this good land, expressed by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless him, when he said that building a person is a national necessity that precedes the building of factories – man before the structure.
He added that this wise approach extends for nearly a century, when the late Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum sent the first scholarship from Dubai to study medicine, and he realized that investing in minds is the greatest investment, and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, ordered in October 1970 to establish the Department of Health and Medical Services with tasks that included interest in vocational education and training.
He stressed that humanity is the essence of health care, and called the graduates to be modest, survival open to learning and exploring, adhering to integrity, and relying on intuition stemming from authentic values.
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, Executive Director of Dubai Health and Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences, said that the graduates embody the “Dubai Healthy” vision in preparing medical cadres with international specifications, which combines academic excellence, clinical experiences, and commitment to human care values, as part of its commitment to the “patient first” era.
In her speech on behalf of the graduates, Dr. Sarah Doukk said that this day constitutes a turning point in the march of the scientific graduate, stressing that the years of study at the university were full of learning and acquisition of knowledge, and that the graduates hold themselves responsible for returning the favor to society and the country through fair medical practice, purposeful scientific research, and constructive collective work.
