The head of the state and the Iraqi president are discussing the relations of the two countries and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today a phone call from Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, President of the brotherly Republic of Iraq, during which he discussed the developments taking place in the Middle East region and the efforts made towards it … stressing the importance of enhancing dialogue and diplomatic solutions in dealing with the region’s issues to consolidate peace, maintaining security and stability in it, and achieving the aspirations of their peoples to development and prosperity.

During the communication, the two sides also discussed brotherly relations and the possibilities of developing cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Iraq in all fields in order to achieve their mutual interests and enhance the growth and prosperity of their people.

His Highness and the Iraqi President exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the new Hijri year, expressing their wishes that security, stability and peace will prevail in the region and the whole world.
