I hope we will reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza during the next week

US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he will discuss developments in Gaza and the Iranian file, during his upcoming meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House next Monday.

Trump’s comments came to reporters before his departure to a detention center for immigrants in the Everglids region, Florida, where he indicated that the ceasefire in Gaza was “near”, expressing his hope to reach a calm next week.

Levitte added that President Trump made ending the war in Gaza “priority” for his administration, in light of the ongoing efforts to reach a permanent truce.

Last month, Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, after 12 days of confrontations.
