Airlines operate 10.56 million seats in “Dubai International” during July

Dubai International Airport, during this July, recorded about 5.28 million seats scheduled for international flights (10.56 million in both directions), with a growth rate of 3% compared to the same month last year, to lead the world’s airports, according to the periodic report issued by the International Foundation “OAG”, which is equipped for airport data and airlines.
The International Corporation stated, in a report that “Emirates Today” obtained a copy of it, that Dubai International Airport retained its position as the largest international air transport axis in the world during July 2025, explaining that “Dubai International” recorded an increase of 3% during this July compared to last year, adding nearly 160 thousand seats. As for the London Heathrow Airport, which is second with a capacity of 4.28 million seats, it recorded a capacity similar to last year’s levels.
Dubai International recorded about 5.1 million seats last June, about 5.2 million seats in May, and about five million seats in April, 5.16 million in March, 4.78 million seats in February, and 5.3 million seats in January 2025, bringing the total number of seats scheduled at the airport during the first seven months of this year, to 35.82 million seats (more than 71.64 million seats in The two directions).
This increase comes with a seat capacity at Dubai International Airport with the opening of more destinations, as well as the operation of additional flights to existing destinations, after the airport recorded a strong performance in international traffic over the year 2024 and the first months of this year.
Internationally, Heathro London Airport ranked second with about 4.28 million seats after “Dubai International”, followed by 3.78 million Amsterdam Airport, while Seoul Airport came in fourth with about 3.74 million seats, and Istanbul Airport Fifth with about 3.7 million seats.
Dubai International Airport continued its strong performance, to be ranked second in the world in the total seat capacity on “international and local” flights together, after the American Hartfield Atlanta airport, which recorded about 5.69 million seats, during July, Chicago Airport is in third place with about 4.75 million seats, Istanbul Airport with about 4.75 million seats, and “Tokyo Hanida” in fifth place with about 4.72 Millions of seat.
Dubai International Airport received 23.4 million passengers during the first quarter of 2025, maintaining its strong momentum, and strengthening its position as the most crowded international airport in the world, which reflects Dubai’s growing global destination, and the pivotal role that the airport plays as a preferred gate for millions of travelers around the world. January 2025 witnessed alone the highest monthly movement in the history of the airport, with 8.5 million passengers received.
