Mohammed bin Rashid Library concludes its participation in an international conference in Kazakhstan

Dubai, August 23/ WAM/ The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library concluded its participation in the activities of the 89th session of the International Conference on Libraries and Information, organized by the International Federation of Associations and Institutions of Library “Fla”, under the slogan “Knowledge Union .. Future Building”, from 18 to 22 August 2025 in the Kazakh capital Astana.
During its participation, the library reviewed its most prominent services and initiatives that mix the traditional and modern character of libraries, in addition to its advanced technologies and specialized facilities, and also introduced the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Arabic. The library received delegations from the Emirates Library and Information Association, Archives, the National Library, the Bayt Al -Hikma Library, Zayed University, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, South Africa, and Scotland, in addition to Germany, Malaysia, Mongolia and Moldova.
The corner of the library, Colizane Arzanova, visited the CEO of the University Library Association in Kazakhstan, Dr. Heba Ismail, President of the Arab Library Network, Dr. Colbadan Madpayev, Head of Office systems in Kazakhstan, and Collera Nurzanova, President of the National University of Kazakhstan for the qualification of teachers, and the meetings formed a vital platform for dialogue on the prospects of joint cooperation, And exchange of experiences.
The library team met with Mrs. Vicky McDonald, President of the International Federation of Associations and Institutions of Library “Fla”, where she was honored in appreciation of her prominent role in supporting and developing the library sector at the international level.
McDonald presented a special session in which it dealt with the efforts of the International Federation around the world, while praising the visit it made to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, where pictures of the visit were shown, and thanks and appreciation for the library’s efforts and prominent position in supporting knowledge and culture were expressed.
The library team participated in many specialized workshops.
The library delegation concluded its participation in the conference, with a field tour to the most prominent public libraries in the Kazakh capital.
