The growth of the Economy of the Sultanate of Oman by 2.5% in the first quarter

Muscat on July 5 / WAM / The GDP recorded the GDP of the Sultanate of Oman, a growth of 2.5% at fixed prices at the end of the first quarter of 2025, to reach 9.43 billion Omani riyals, compared to 9.20 billion riyals in the same period last year.
The data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information showed that this growth was mainly driven by the increase in the added value of non -oil activities by 4.4%, to reach its contribution to 6.92 billion riyals, and this included growth in industrial activities by 7%and service activities by 3.2%, according to the Omani News Agency.
On the other hand, the oil activities witnessed a decrease of 0.4%, to reach 2.92 billion Omani riyals, as the decline in crude oil production by 2.2% (2.44 billion riyals) affected the performance of the sector, despite the growth of natural gas activity by 9.5% to reach 475.3 million Omani riyals.
