Villa, the Minister of Communications in Egypt … and the suspect in the grip of security

Today, Saturday, the Egyptian security services arrested one of those involved in theft incident targeting the villa of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, in Giza Governorate, after a failed attempt to escape from the crime site.
According to security sources, the accused was seized in possession of part of the stolen goods that included valuable holdings, including home utensils and candlesticks made of silver, which he had seized after climbing the villa wall and entering it late at night, taking advantage of the absence of the minister and the residents of the house.
Initial investigations stated that the suspect was not alone during the execution of the crime, as investigations suggest that there are other partners that helped him in the infiltration and theft, and the security services are currently working to track them.
One of the residents of the area was able to monitor the suspect while trying to escape, and informed the police, who immediately moved to the scene, where the accused was taken to the Talbiya Police Department for interrogation, and the concerned authorities began collecting evidence and listening to his testimony.
The Public Prosecution, in turn, began the investigation, and ordered the intensification of investigations on the circumstances of the accident, and hearing the statements of the workers in the region, as well as assigning a team of forensic evidence to raise the fingerprints from the villa site and determine the tools used in the implementation of the crime.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Amr Talaat has been the Minister of Communications and Information Technology since June 2018, and he is known for his academic and administrative experience, where he worked as a professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, and he studies marketing and management materials.
Investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the accident and determine all those involved.
