Nadec: laying a cornerstone for an animal breeding project in Hail for two billion riyals
The National Agricultural Development Company (Nadak) laid the foundation stone for the intensive animal education project (sheep and goats) and meat production of the National Shepherd Company for livestock (one of the subsidiaries), in the Hail region. Al -Fadhli, and a number of representatives of government agencies and the private sector. Red meat, reducing dependence on import, empowering young breeders, and achieving the sector’s sustainability, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
The total value of investment in the project is about 2 billion riyals, including financing with government support with approximately 1.1 billion riyals from the Agricultural Development Fund, which reflects its economic and strategic importance at the food sector level in the Kingdom, and the production capacity of the project is expected to reach the project to the project One million heads of sheep annually by the year 2030.
The ceremony witnessed the signing of three memoranda of understanding between the National Shepherd Company for livestock and each of:
– Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Foundation for Development Finance and to support productive families and implement projects related to leather and wool, joint marketing of products and services, organizing workshops and scientific events, in addition to exchanging technical expertise, and implementing social responsibility programs.
