The death toll from Texas floods in the United States of America has risen to 82, while the families participated on Sunday, in the searches between the waterproofed rubble and entered the empty huts in the Camp Mysteic camp, a summer camp for girls destroyed by sudden floods that were swept away of the houses from their foundations.
Rescuers continued their search for missing persons, including 10 girls and consultant from the camp.
The governor of Texas Greg Abbott said that there are 41 people who are sure they are missing throughout the state, and there may be more missing people.
In the CARE province, which includes the Camp Mestic camp and other youth camps in the Texas Hill Control area, the search men found the bodies of 68 people, including 28 children, the warden Larry La Tahha said in the afternoon.
10 other deaths were reported in Travis, Burnett, Kendall, Tom Green, and Williamson, according to local officials.
Colonel Freeman Martin, of the Texas Public Safety Administration, said that the number of deaths is certain during the next few days, warning that additional showers of heavy rains that may continue until Tuesday may lead to more life -threatening floods, especially in already saturated places.
During his talk at Austin, he lit up the emergency alerts on mobile phones in the province of Kiir, warning of “a very confirmed river flood”, and urged a loudspeaker near the Camp Mestic camp to leave, but the officials said after minutes, that there is no danger.
