Al -Sidrani and Wafia are crowned the Emirates Chess Championship title

Sharjah, July 13/ WAM/ Ammar Al -Sidrani, the player of the Fujairah Chess Club, was crowned the title of men’s competitions in the Emirates Individual Chess Championship, organized by the Emirates Chess Federation in the Sharjah Cultural Hall, and concluded its competitions yesterday.
Al -Sidrani ended the ninth and final round with 8 points, surpassing the tie breaking system after he equated with Ahmed Farid, the player of the Dubai Chess Club, which came in runners -up, while Yahya Shuaib came from Sharjah Cultural Club third with 6.5 points with the participation of 39 players.
In the women’s category, Wafia Darwish Al -Maamari, Al Ain Chess and Mental Games, won the title of the championship after the lead was settled with 8 points from 9 rounds, superior to the system of breaking the draw on the dreams of Rashid, the Dubai Chess Club player, which came in second place and won the silver medal.

Her teammate Maryam Issa ranked third and the bronze medal with 6 points, equal with Wida Al -Kalbani from Al Ain Club, which ranked fourth, and participated in the women’s competitions 23 players.
In terms of age groups, Mohamed Al -Muaini won the Sharjah Cultural Club Club, the gold medal for a category under 8 years, and Ahmed Abdullah Al -Zahmi came from the Fujairah Club and Summer, and Mohamed Al -Hamoudi from the Sharjah Cultural Club third.
In a category under 10 years for children, Zayed Mohammed Al Ali from Al Ain Club won first place, followed by Salem Al Muhairi from Sharjah Club second, and Abdullah Al Mansouri from Al Fujairah Club third.
In the female competitions under 8 years, Mira Al -Khatri from the Ras Al Khaimah Girls Club won first place, followed by Fatima Rashid from the chess and culture club for girls in Sharjah in second place, then Fatima Saeed Al -Shehhi from the Ras Al Khaimah Girls Club third.
As for the category under 10 years of females, Hafsa Issa from the chess and culture club for girls in Sharjah crowned the first place, and her colleagues Maryam Khaled and Badria Al -Suwaidi came in the second and third places, respectively.
