Hamas rejected the armistice proposal and insists on staying in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hamas of rejecting the armistice proposals, stressing that Israel agreed to the initiatives submitted by the American Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkeov, as well as the version proposed by the brokers.
In a photo statement he posted on his account on the “X” platform, Netanyahu said: “I returned from an important and very successful visit that followed a great victory over Iran. We have many opportunities and challenges, and I am determined to accomplish them. ”
In response to media reports that Tel Aviv refused a proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, Netanyahu added: “These reports are the frequency of Hamas propaganda, but they are incorrect. We accepted the deal that Wittouf presented, as well as the version presented by the brokers, but it was Hamas who refused. ”
The Israeli Prime Minister indicated that Hamas is seeking to remain in Gaza, and seeks to force the Israeli army to withdraw, with the aim of reinforcing itself and launching new attacks on Israel, adding: “I will not accept that, and I will do everything in the endeavor to return the prisoners.”
He also affirmed his commitment to meeting the hostages of the hostages and his understanding of their suffering, stressing that the goals of the war in Gaza have not changed, and include the release of prisoners and the elimination of Hamas, and ensuring that Gaza does not return to a threat to Israel in the future.
