Trump threatens Iran again with “mass destruction” before the end of the “Hormuz deadline”

US President Donald Trump renewed his threats to Iran, before the end of the two-day deadline he gave it to open the Strait of Hormuz. Trump told Israeli Channel 13 on Sunday evening, “The consequences will become clear soon.” The US President sent a strongly worded message to the Iranian regime, saying: “You will soon know what will happen with the warning about (targeting) power plants. The result will be very good. There will be comprehensive destruction of Iran and that will be very effective.”
Trump had given Iran a 48-hour deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz, warning of attacks targeting its energy stations if it did not respond to his request.
On the other hand, Trump strongly criticized the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and “its behavior towards Iran over the decades.”
He said: “NATO countries are doing nothing, and this is a great shame. Iran has been very bad for 47 years. Now it is getting its just punishment.”
Earlier on Sunday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it would close the Strait of Hormuz “completely” and target energy facilities in the region, if the US President carried out his threats to attack energy facilities in Iran.
