The tourist flow from Bahrain to Russia witnessed a five -fold increase in the past year, the number of tourists who visited it during the year 2023, when the total tourists from Bahrain reached 8900 tourists, compared to only 1600 during the year 2023.

According to the data obtained by “Al -Watan” from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Russia in Bahrain, it is expected that the numbers of tourists will continue to grow, in light of the agreements reached during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the “We travel!” International tourist in Moscow.

It is noteworthy that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and the Russian Aeroclub Group during the SPIEF 2025 forum, aimed at enhancing tourism promotion, facilitating knowledge exchange, developing incentive programs for commercial tourism and events management, in addition to cooperation in joint exhibitions and adopting innovative travel technologies.

On the other hand, the number of Russian tourists increased to the Kingdom of Bahrain by about six times what it was before 2022.

The launch of direct flights from Bahrain to Sochi is one of the most important factors affecting the high number of Bahraini tourists to the Russian Federation, especially to the city, which is famous for being a coastal and mountainous resort, and is characterized by its moderate climate, beautiful beaches, picturesque mountains, and ice ski activities in the winter.
