“Bouaida” .. 1400 posts via the ether during half a century

The citizen, Mohamed Saleh, Bedouin Al -Awadi, known as “Bouaida”, was famous for his various radio participation through the excitement of a group of local channels in the sixties of the last century, through Arab channels, up to international Arabic -speaking channels, until his number of participation exceeded 1400 participants during 50 years, he won the title of “Dean of the listeners”.

“Bouaida” told “Emirates Today”: “The radio posts started in the sixties on Radio Rashid Abdullah Al -Alili, my father’s colleague, may God have mercy on them, and he was asking me to collect information, judgment and proverbs, and in the late sixties my participation increased significantly on Radio (Voice of the Coast) from Sharjah, and from the radio programs known in that beautiful time, the program (what the listeners demand), and (the family of the family) Learn?), And (the letters of the listeners), followed by Dubai Radio, Abu Dhabi Radio, then other Emirates broadcasts, through Gulf and Arab radio stations in Iraq, Yemen, Egypt and Syria, such as (Bani Ghazi Radio), (Damascus Radio), (BBC Radio), and other radio stations, up to international radio broadcasts in Arabic, such as (China International Radio) in the program (messages without borders) She also participated in (Radio Monte Carlo), (Türkiye Radio), (Voice of America Radio), and others.

“Bouaida” also participated during his work in the General Administration of Civil Defense in several episodes of a special radio program, entitled “Minutes for your safety.”

He said: «Due to the large number of my radio posts, which was born inside me by nature, and I found a large area of social interaction, I gave me a set of titles, most notably the title of (the Dean of the listeners) that the broadcaster Atef Helwa, may God have mercy on him, from Dubai Radio on the“ We and the Listen ”program in 1986, besides the title of (the star of the radio), (the dean of the Arab listeners), (The owner of the pen and the word) and (the friend of society).

He emphasized that he started writing newspapers and magazines, in addition to the radio stations, and he was very enthusiastic when the broadcaster reads his participation through the ether, which generated a great insistence on continuing, until he found himself after graduating from the university in the field of cinematic directing as a worker in the media field.

He added: «I worked in the Media and Public Relations Department of Civil Defense, which made my media contributions increase more, followed by my work in the Ministry of Interior in which I later assumed the position of dean, and I learned the meaning of control, linkage, discipline and order besides preserving the law, which is the lessons that my father taught me, may God have mercy on him, and I was keen to teach her to my children.

The love of “Bouaida” for the media is not limited to specialization and participants, but also to write it.

Bouaida is working on collecting publications, and says: “In my own archive, I have more than 3000 copies of the first numbers of local, Arab and international magazines and journalism, including the first issue of (Al -Arabi) magazine, the journal (Zia), and the newspaper (Palestine).”

Bouaida, the father of four children, is keen to highlight the role of his life partner in supporting their small family, and to provide them with the best educational environment.

The “Ideal Father and the Ideal Mother” award was received by Awaha Bint Hussein Cultural Cultural, as well as the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Prize for Excellence Educational Performance, the distinguished family category, in 2000, and the Sharjah Award for Excellence and Educational Excellence (the Category of Distinguished Order) in 2006.

“Bouaida” feels the great pride of the success of his children in the fields of medicine, pharmacy and engineering, Dr. Aida Al -Awadi is a consultant and head of the Department of Diseases and Bloods in Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Abdullah Al -Awadi is a first specialist in pediatric neurology at Al -Jalila Hospital in Dubai.

“Bouaida” is credited with that, after God Almighty, to his wife, “the wise woman who had a great role in my success in the personal and professional level.”
