943 thousand beneficiaries of projects "UAE water" In Tanzania

Dubai, July 22 / WAM / His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Foundation, announced that the number of beneficiaries of the projects of the “Swaiya Emirates” Foundation in the Federal Republic of Tanzania amounted to more than 943 thousand people.

His Excellency said during his presidency of the second meeting of the Council during the year 2025: “We go according to the firm approach that the late leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, was established to all the needy and deprived around the world, and to cause a sustainable positive impact on the lives of millions, by stimulating the finding of sustainable solutions to the global water crisis and implementing humanitarian projects and initiatives that reflect the values of giving and good.”

The project, which is implemented by “Sateya of the Emirates”, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, aims to provide clean and suitable water for more than a million people in the Federal Republic of Tanzania, and the project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
The meeting was attended by members of the Council, His Excellency Fahd Abdul Rahman bin Sultan, Deputy Secretary -General of the International Development and Cooperation Sector at the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Vice -President of the Council, His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations, Engineer Nasser Lootah, CEO of the President, Production Sector “Energy and Water” in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Engineer Walid bin Salman, CEO of the President, The Business Development Sector and Excellence in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dr. Al -Akraf, Executive Vice President of the Business and Human Resources Support Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and Mohamed Abdel Karim Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of the Emirates Sateya Foundation.
The meeting highlighted the honor of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God preserve him, 12 winners from 8 countries at the fourth session of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Water” award, which is supervised by the “Swaiya Emirates” institution, whose total prize is a million dollars, and includes four main categories.
The meeting dealt with the achievements of the Foundation during its previous years to encourage the creation of sustainable solutions to address the problem of water scarcity around the world, and to implement sustainable water projects, humanitarian initiatives and development projects aimed at providing clean and safe water for poor and affected societies.
The number of beneficiaries of the Foundation’s projects reached about 15 million people in 37 countries, through the implementation of more than 1,000 sustainable water projects, since its launch in 2015.
