المملكة: "Inside and outside the Kingdom"..66 million beneficiaries of programs "Islamic affairs" During Ramadan

The Ministry of Islamic affairs, advocacy and guidance. Its advocacy, awareness and humanitarian programs during the blessed month of Ramadan 1447 AH achieved a wide impact, benefiting more than 66 million people inside and outside the Kingdom, within the framework of its lofty mission to serve Islam and Muslims and spread the values ​​of moderation and moderation.

The Ministry indicated that these efforts included the implementation of an integrated package of qualitative programs and initiatives, the most prominent of which is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Iftar for the fasting people, which was implemented in 70 countries, benefiting more than 1.2 million fasting people, in addition to the program for distributing luxury dates in 120 countries with a quantity exceeding 1,000 tons, benefiting more than 4 million beneficiaries.

The Ministry also implemented the Imamate program abroad with the participation of 49 imams in 91 countries, benefiting about two million beneficiaries, in addition to distributing a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques from The Holy Qur’an, in more than 2.5 million copies, benefited the same number of Muslims around the world.

Intense efforts

At the local level, the Ministry intensified its advocacy work, as more than 100,000 advocacy activities were implemented inside the Kingdom, benefiting more than 15 million beneficiaries, in addition to receiving Umrah pilgrims at the ports and implementing awareness and guidance programs and modern digital services, which contributed to serving more than 20.8 million beneficiaries.

The efforts also included equipping more than 84,000 mosques and mosques, and preparing 1,650 supporting mosques in Mecca to accommodate the density of worshipers during the Holy Month, providing an integrated faith environment for more than 10 million beneficiaries.

With regard to awareness, the Ministry distributed 11.4 million copies of publications and awareness and electronic materials, in addition to preaching cards and digital downloads. Through the Rushd application, which enhances legal awareness among various segments of society.

The Ministry also implemented 10,122 volunteer opportunities with the participation of more than 51,000 male and female volunteers, with a total of 579,000 volunteer hours, in a scene that reflects the spirit of giving and social responsibility, and keeps pace with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Ministry confirmed that these achievements came thanks to God and then with the support and directives of the wise leadership – may God support it -, Under the supervision and interest of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, who is keen to develop advocacy work and enhance its impact locally and globally, in order to consolidate the Kingdom’s mission in serving Islam and Muslims and spreading goodness and peace in the world.
