31 companies compete for the licenses of detection in 3 stranded belts in Riyadh and the city

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the qualification of 31 local and international companies to compete for the licenses of detection in three new prepared belts in Saudi Arabia covering an area of 24,423 square kilometers, after passing the pre -qualification phase that witnessed the competition of 61 companies, in the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to accelerate the pace of mining exploration in the Kingdom.
The three -prepared belts come within the ministry’s plan to launch more than 50 thousand square kilometers of mining sites and stuttering belts during the year 2025, which were announced during the last version of the International Mining Conference; This is with the aim of increasing spending on exploration in the Kingdom, and achieving the optimal exploitation of the estimated mining resources valued at more than 9.4 trillion riyals.
The sites offered in the Riyadh and Medina regions are located, and it includes the Al -Nuqra belt and the sheet of sheet (Al -Safra) in the Medina region, and the Duwaihi belt (Nabita) in the Riyadh region. It includes a variety of basic and precious minerals, including gold, copper, silver, zinc, and nickel.
The mining competitions pass through three basic stages that start with the pre -qualification stage, then the stage of launching the guidance evidence and the inauguration of the mining competition platform and the stage of selecting sites in the electronic competition platform, followed by the stage of leaving the sites on the winning companies.
During the next stage, the qualified companies in the competition for the licenses of disclosure in the three -prepared belts must choose the available sites of these belts through the digital “mining” platform, within accurate criteria that guarantee the highest levels of transparency and equal opportunities between investors, and the winners are expected to be announced during the third quarter of 2025.
The Ministry affirms that this new round of mining competitions shows the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening the mining sector as a basic pillar of economic diversification and attracting international investments, and the extensive participation of local and international companies reflects the private sector’s keenness to exploit promising investment opportunities in the mining sector.
