Islamic Forum Library .. A regional lighthouse for culture and the sciences of the Noble Qur’an from Sharjah

Sharjah, July 24 / WAM / The cultural scene in the Emirate of Sharjah is distinguished by its diversity and richness, embodied in a number of cultural monuments and leading public libraries, and the “Islamic Forum Library” is one of the vital pillars in this growing scene, as it plays a pivotal role in preserving Islamic heritage and promoting the science of the Holy Quran, in a way that keeps pace with Sharjah’s ambitious vision to be a regional center for science and knowledge.

The library provides a stimulating scientific environment that attracts researchers and students of science from inside and outside the country, through its wealthy and varied groups, which are witnessing a continuous qualitative expansion, as the forum institution has acquired more than 80 thousand new addresses in recent years, which made it one of the largest libraries in Sharia sciences at the region level.

The library includes unique knowledge treasures, including rare manuscripts and original documents, as well as a wide range of university theses, Islamic history books and translations, which meets the various needs of scientific research and academic studies.

In terms of the belief of the Islamic Forum’s management of the importance of the book as a pillar to build an educated and creative society, the library continues to implement its pioneering project “The Culture of the Book”, aimed at consolidating awareness of the value of reading and supporting the knowledge movement in society.

Within this project, the library witnessed a remarkable enrichment in rare cognitive areas in the Arab world, such as linguistics and idiomatic studies, in addition to providing them with a large number of scientific theses of prominent academics, especially in the fields of Islamic economics, in response to the increasing demand for these vital specialties.

The library’s message is not limited to preserving Islamic heritage and spreading culture, but rather extends to enabling researchers and those interested in science and knowledge, through an ideal scientific environment that provides smooth access to valuable sources and references, which contributes to enhancing research production at the local and international levels.

The Library of the Islamic Forum continues to perform its mission as an example that is followed in supporting the sciences of the Holy Qur’an, spreading Islamic culture, and consolidating the values of science and reading, which reflects the deep commitment of Sharjah to build a person and establish a firm knowledge society.
